TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

EQUIPMENT AND AUDIO REQUIREMENTS

One Steinway Concert Grand Piano (substitutes will be considered) tuned to A440 one hour prior to performance with an adjustable bench. The piano utilizes two microphones with the top open. One switchable microphone for communication with the audience, placed on the left side of the piano keyboard on a straight stand.

One bass amplifier: Eden WT-800, and Eden 410 and 115c cabs. One bass guitar stand.

One professional Jazz Drum Kit (Pearl, Yamaha, Gretch, Sonor, preferred) with a 22" Bass Drum, 8" Rack Tom, 10" Rack Tom, 12" Rack Tom, 13" Rack Tom, 16" Floor Tom, 3 boom Cymbal stands and one 7x5’ drum rug/carpet.

One (1) 8 foot by 8 foot by 18 inch firm riser.

One professional lighting system appropriate for stage size.

One first-class sound system (16ch stereo mixer, stereo amp, and speakers) adequate for size of facility with an experienced sound technician.

Facing the stage the piano is to the left, the bass is in the middle with the monitor set behind toward the left and the drums to the right.

Any changes or substitutions must be approved by Richard Payne Trio management in writing at least one week prior to performance.
