Rudy Spruill

Rudy Spruill, Bass Guitarist, has been performing in and around the Washington Metropolitan area and in states along the eastern seaboard for more than 30 years. As an original and founding member of the variety band, BBS Unlimited, Rudy's versatile playing styles encompasses ROCK, POP, JAZZ and TOP 40. Rudy's European playing experience is highlighted with a 30-day USO tour that took the group (BBS Unlimited) to many major cities and military bases.

 

Performance credits include backing and sharing the stage with Dionne Warwick, Peaches & Herb, Millie Jackson, the Coasters, Nancy Wilson, Jean Carne and the late Redd Foxx. Recording credits include the 1975 release of the album "Collage" which contained the national hit, "Let's Do The Latin Hustle" which led to his band's Grammy nomination in the best new artist category.

 

Rudy is a graduate of the Catholic University of America's school of Architecture. He also studied music at the University as well as at the Music and Arts Studio in Washington, DC.
